Check out time: 11
The most important rule is of course: Enjoy your time in the Gran Villa Palmera and feel free to come back!
We would be very happy if you treated our second home as if it were your own house - we have invested a lot of time, love and money in the renovation and design and would be happy if this is valued and preserved.
Here are some formal rules (if these don't suit you, then maybe this isn't the right house for you):
Guest data
The personal details of all guests must be recorded upon arrival, including their ID card. This data is then forwarded by our team to the Guardia Civil (local law).
Occupancy
The maximum occupancy of Gran Villa Palmera is stated on the booking confirmation. Exceeding the permitted capacity without prior authorization may result in withdrawal from the contract.
The house and the property are intended solely for use as holiday accommodation and cannot be used for any other use, such as banquets, celebrations, parties, seminars, photography or filming or other commercial uses.
Carrying out any other activity, as well as exceeding the maximum capacity set by the house in the number of beds, will result in the immediate termination of the stay.
The leather sofas are not to be viewed as a replacement for a bed and should not be used for this purpose (but for an afternoon nap).
Groups of young people under 30 are not accepted without the express permission of Villa Gran Palmera.
Animals
Pets are not allowed.
Stray cats or dogs are not allowed to be in the house or fed at any time.
We would like to point out that the house is in a rural area and that chickens are kept in the area and that the roosters make their presence felt in the morning.
Safety/Liability
The use of the house, garden/property and especially the pool is at your own risk. Parents are responsible for their children.
Please report possible damage immediately in writing.
The landlord is not responsible for possible theft or damage by third parties.
The tenants are in turn obliged to lock the house (doors and windows) and the property (entrance gate) when they are not on site. It is recommended that the entrance gate is always closed and the entrance/patio doors are closed/secured when guests are at the pool.
The island is not known for criminal activity, but there have been isolated incidents of people repeatedly stealing cash and electronic devices and posing as gardeners or similar.
Please do not leave cash, phones or computers lying around.
The house has an alarm system, which will be explained by our team. It is not mandatory to use this, but it is recommended. False alarms due to improper operation lead to additional costs for the landlord.
There are 3 surveillance cameras on the premises. One at the entrance gate, this is in continuous operation. The cameras on the terrace and on the pergola (facing the pool/house) will be deactivated as soon as the house is rented. Deactivation can be recognized by the lack of a green light signal.
Smoke
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the house (this also applies to e-cigarettes)
Smoking is permitted outside, but please use an ashtray for your cigarettes and keep the garden clean.
There is also an acute risk of fire, especially in the summer months.
pool
Use of the pool is at your own risk and liability.
The pool is professionally cleaned and looked after once a week (usually on Thursdays) (chlorine/PH value determined, etc.).
Glasses, bottles and porcelain are prohibited at and in the pool. Please use plastic dishes.
If the pool water needs to be replaced due to, for example, broken pieces in the pool or heavy contamination, etc., the costs for this (€ 1,500 plus lost days if applicable) will be charged to the tenant.
The pool should be covered overnight or during the day if you are on an excursion. This saves energy (especially when using pool heating), reduces pollution and saves the lives of many small animals.
Separate towels for pool (and beach visits) are provided.
WC
As in all rural areas on the Canary Islands and other islands, no toilet paper or other materials are allowed in the toilet.
Please use the trash cans provided (including plastic bags) and dispose of them regularly (residual waste).
cleaning
The house, terrace and pergola are cleaned and handed over to the guests.
The upper part of the garden is well maintained, but not kept meticulously clean. This is how we get the bohemian style we want.
The lower part of the garden is also looked after by the gardener, but is more natural.
The care and cleaning of the house is based on (largely) organic products
